Kayaking
There are two Malibu Two Ocean Kayaks which seat two people each. They are equipped with an anchor, chain and 100' anchor rope for snorkeling either out in the bay or along the cliffs.
For going to the beach, we recommend using a lock and chain through both hulls and that you carry the paddles with you if you should decide to go to a bar on the beach such as Alfred’s Ocean Palace.
Kayaking along the cliffs is also a real adventure with many stops along the way for lunch or a snack , Xtabi, Rock House, Tensing Pen, Rick’s Café, and The LTU Pub before you reach the Negril Lighthouse which is about five miles away - just remember the trip back! There are life vests which should be taken. A waiver needs to be signed prior to use and a credit card security deposit for $1,500.00 per vessel.
If you are not adventerous and just plain lazy, try the pool floats. They are high density and meant for when the sea is calm.
It is recommended to bring your own snorkeling gear if you want to explore the reefs and caves along the shore. There are numerous dive shops on the beach and the West End for scuba diving. Some may even pick you up on the beach in front of the house. A good power swim is from one corner of the property to the other and back along the marker buoys. For a more ambitious swim, choose the cotton tree on the opposite side of the cove in front of the Sunshine Village.
