Hello Craig,
We had the extreme pleasure of staying at Llantrissant in
April and we can't recall having a better, more relaxing
vacation! When we first arrived with Benji, Miss P, Sweetie
and Eggie were waiting for with huge smiles and welcoming
greetings. The location couldn't be beat! We loved being so
close to town where we could easily grab a quick patty for
lunch or visit one of the local restaurants for a wonderful
meal and at the same time, feel like we had a great amount of
privacy. It was great to be near the shops for afternoon
window shopping and so close to the supermarket for snacks
and
cold drinks.
We were surprised how quickly the dogs made their way into
our hearts. Duke insisted on hanging out with us as if he were
one of the guys. The girls kept a modest distance except when
we took a swim. They jumped into the water and played the role
of lifeguard, keeping a keen eye on us. It was cool to have
our own pets while at Llantrissant. We hardly missed our own
animals!
I'm sure you've heard this a thousand times, but Miss P was
wonderful. Her cooking far surpassed our expectations! (Yes,
the website says she's a good cook, but the proof was in the
tasting. Wonderful!) We went to a number of restaurants,
including Xtabi, and found that Miss P's meals were far better
than the local fare. Every meal was memorable, from breakfast
to the fabulous last meal she prepared for us. We had jerk
chicken, pepper steak and grilled red snapper. It only made it
harder to leave the next morning.
Sweetie was a delight. She was attentive and responsive
whenever we asked for anything. She kept the kitchen spotless
and we always had clean glasses for our drinks. Our rooms were
always clean, with the beds made, the bathrooms tidy and the
towels fresh.
Eginton, a.k.a. Eggie, was extremely helpful in directing
us to local restaurants. His recommendations always hit the
spot. As a grounds keeper, he did a fantastic job. Every
morning he could be found raking the beach. Many times before
7 am! He kept the gardens immaculate.
Most nights, we sat out on the seawall enjoying the
ambience of Negril. Job was never too far away, every now and
then racing off with the dogs to investigate. We always felt
safe and secure.
Suffice it to say, we had a wonderful time and want to
reserve the same week in 2002.
Thanks so much. Our best to you and your wonderful
staff.
