Villa Staff
Without our staff we would just be another property anywhere in the world but here they help define it and your experience. They are your guardians. Through them you can glimpse the greatest asset of Jamaica - its people.
We are very fortunate to have Ann Reynolds join the staff. She is the daughter of Marie Donaldson who had been the housekeeper at Llantrissant for more than fifty years before she retired.
Ann brings with her a great sense of duty not only to the property but to her work. She is an excellent cook and loves to learn new recipes from the guests. Since she lives in Negril, she can be contacted in an emergency. She can also arrange baby sitting.
Paulette is truly a treasure. She joined the staff this year after working for years at Hedonism. She personifies service. The decorative touches to the beds and bathrooms are truly delightful. Since no one can work everyday without a break,
Marsha has joined the staff to work when Ann and Paulette have their day off. She also works on the days when guests are checking out at noon and others are checking in at 3:00PM. What is so remarkable is that the entire house is spotless and polished by the time the new guests arrive and the evening meal is being prepared. They are really quite the team.
Miss Ann, Paulette and Marsha share in the housekeeping and cooking. They will help you plan your meals from the food menu and even do the shopping. Don't hesitate to ask them for traditional Jamaican cooking especially if there is ripe breadfruit, cassava, yam and ackee.
In the yard we have Raymond and Danny. Raymond is from Manchester and comes from a strong agricultural background so keeping the lawn, shrubs and flowers in picture perfect shape is in his nature. He is also great with the dogs and currently training Samson to walk on a leash. When the sea gets rough, and it will during the winter months, Danny will be there to assist Raymond in cleaning up the mess. He is also quite compulsive when it comes to keeping the yard clean. He and Raymond have been working together to bring the tennis court into a playable condition which means constant weeding and rolling.
Our security guards now have a guard house which is equipped with a state-of-the-art surveillance system to ensure the security of the property. You can visit the guard house to learn where the cameras are pointing - nothing intrusive. Charma Hylton is from Negril and has been working at Llantrissant for the past three years. Barry is from and has been a security guard for the past thirty years.
Ramon Bremmer is our assistant manager. He has recently completed a bachelor's degree in business administration while working as a school teacher in Sheffield.
Calvin "Benji" Ricketts has been our driver for the past 20 years. He is a member of JUTA, an association of tour drivers in Jamaica and his rates are based on JUTA's rates. The card with the logo is how you will locate him on arrival at the airport outside in the general arrival area.
Abby and Zeke are the watchdogs and they are ever vigilant and keep the security guards on their toes. Abby finally had puppies and we have kept Samson.
